On Thursday 11th May, we will welcome the sociologist and world-leading proponent of secularisation theory, Professor Steve Bruce. In his address to the Club, Professor Bruce will consider to what extent and in what ways religion is responsible for the clergy sexual predation that has come to light in recent decades. Professor Bruce has entitled his talk: ‘Nuts, Sl*ts, and Perverts: Religion and Sexual Exploitation’ (his title, my expurgation).

Members and guests are invited, as ever, to join us for an arrival drink at 6.00pm, to be followed by a trusty three course Club Supper at 6.30pm, the details of which are yet to be confirmed. Professor Bruce will address the Club at 8.00pm approximately.
